Cherry Lane Theatre in New York鈥檚 Greenwich Village has announced casting for its upcoming production of Ren Dara Santiago鈥檚 The Siblings Play. The staging will launch the 19th season of Cherry Lane鈥檚 Mentor Project, which pairs emerging playwrights with established writers for a season of play development, casting, rehearsals, and a fully-staged production.
Directed by Jenna Worsham (Street Children), the cast will feature Juan Castano (Shades of Blue, Alien Dawn), Erin Cherry (We Are Young and Unafraid), William Gaffney (Ghetto Baptism), Jesse J. Perez (Informed Consent), and Monica Rae Summers Gonzalez (Ten Days in a Mad-House).
Performances of The Siblings Play are scheduled to run February 22鈥揗arch 4. The story follows three siblings struggling to keep each other safe from the demons their parents created.

Santiago is being mentored by award-winning playwright Lucy Thurber. Upcoming Mentor Project productions include Nathan Yungerberg's Esai's Table, mentored by Stephen Adly Guirgis (March 22鈥揂pril 1); and Jocelyn Bioh's Nollywood Dreams, mentored by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, (April 25鈥揗ay 6).
