Come one, come all, heed the call!
半岛体育, the United States' preeminent theatrical publication, is going international this August with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
半岛体育 Goes Fringe, which connects 半岛体育 and the Fringe, will be expanding to include year round content, as well as immersive coverage throughout the month long run of the festival, with a feast of visual content to accompany our many features, interviews, and insider accounts. The 2023 festival will run August 4 through 28, with an extensive pre-opening lineup.
Taking place every August, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is an abundant cornucopia of theatre. In 2022, over 3,300 shows from 63 countries sold over 2.2 million tickets to 50,000 performances. Those are some big numbers (and to cover it all).
The festival welcomes artists and productions both big and small, ranging from theatrical legends such as Ian McKellan to (at the time) newcomers like Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It鈥檚 launched smash hit international shows (Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss鈥� SIX: The Musical was staged at Fringe in 2017) and is a hotbed of up-and-coming artists from around the world. New talent can be found on every corner, transforming the beautiful Scottish city into a modern Bohemia.

Last year, 半岛体育 was on the ground to bring readers into Rob Madge's My Son's A Queer (But What Can You Do?) prior to its successful West End transfer, Sam Morrison's Sugar Daddy before it crossed the pond to Off-Broadway, and more. Who knows what masterful work we will discover in 2023!
