Critics are filing their reviews for the new London production of Henrik Ibsen鈥檚 Rosmersholm, adapted by Duncan Macmillan (People, Places and Things, ) at the Duke of York's Theatre in the West End. With direction by Ian Rickson (Jerusalem, The Birthday Party, Translations), the adaptation stars Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell and Tom Burke (Strike).
Rounding out the cast are Lucy Briers, Jake Fairbrother, Peter Wight, Giles Terera, Gavin Antony, Ebony Buckle, Piers Hampton, Maureen Hibbert, Robyn Lovell, and Alice Vilanculo.
Rosmersholm began performances April 24 ahead of a May 2 opening. Set on the brink of an election, the play follows John Rosmer (Burke), a man torn between an idealist vision of the future and the ghosts of his highly influential, ruling class family.
