A new, star-studded contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare鈥檚 King Lear is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Anthony Hopkins stars as the titular royal, with Emma Thompson as his eldest daughter Goneril, Emily Watson as Regan, and Florence Pugh as Cordelia.
King Lear also features Jim Broadbent, Andrew Scott, and John Macmillan. Directed by Richard Eyre, the cast also features Jim Carter, Christopher Eccleston, Tobias Menzies, Anthony Calf, Karl Johnson, Simon Manyonda, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Samuel Valentine.
