News Siam Has a New King! Regal First Photos of Hoon Lee in The King and I Theatre World Award winner Hoon Lee will be crowned the new King of Siam in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of The King and I, beginning Sept. 29 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Lee (Pacific Overtures, Yellow Face, , "Banshee") succeeds (Here Lies Love), who departed the production Sept. 27. earned a Tony Award nomination for originating the role in the revival. Lee co-stars with 2015 Tony-winning Best Actress in a Musical . The cast also features Here Lies Love alumni and Tony winner , who play Lun Tha and Lady Thiang, respectively.

The principal cast also includes (Mamma Mia!) as Tuptim, (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Sir Edward Ramsey, (A Midsummer Night's Dream) as Prince Chulalongkorn, (South Pacific) as Captain Orton, Jakes Lucas (Newsies) as Louis, Paul Nakauchi (Chu Chem) as Kralahome and Marc Oka (Anything Goes) as Phra Alack.

The revival has choreography by Tony Award winner (South Pacific, Newsies) based on the original choreography by . The King and I reunites Sher with his Tony-winning South Pacific creative team, including scenic designer , costume designer , lighting designer , sound designer and musical director . Casting is by Telsey + Company/Abbie Brady-Dalton, CSA.
