DESCRIPTION

NextStop Theatre Company, a professional theater company in Herndon, VA, seeks an experienced A1 for our upcoming production of Footloose.

Dates: May 1 - June 8, 2025: The date range includes our tech & dress rehearsals plus a total of 23 performances over the course of five weeks.

Pay: $2,295 fee for the full run of production

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Collaborate with Sound Designer

Ensure correct set up and make any necessary adjustments of all audio elements for the production

Ensure the house system is properly tuned for each production and show-specific elements are prepped and installed as needed

Mix performances, including the execution of actors鈥� mics, live band, and tracks

General maintenance of production鈥檚 audio equipment, including wireless transmitters and receivers, microphone elements, and house audio system

Attend at least one Pre-Production and Sound Meeting for the production

Lend assistance to other departments when available

Required Skills + Qualifications:

Prior live event experience and proficiency as a FOH audio engineer

Proficient with wireless microphone systems, coordinating RF and experience with QLab.

Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

Higher consideration will be given to candidates with related experience of 2 years or more and a background in musical theatre.

SALARY

$85.00 – $85.00 per show
