A Christmas Carol will return to The Merchant's House Museum this holiday season, marking the 11th year of the immersive production set in the East Village museum.

Presented by Summoners Ensemble Theatre in association with the Merchant鈥檚 House Museum, performances are scheduled for November 28鈥揇ecember 24.

Set in the historic parlor of the 19th century museum, guests will be transported to December 1867, when Charles Dickens鈥攑layed by John Kevin Jones鈥攁rrives in New York City for a month of sold-out performances of his holiday classic. Guests will be surrounded by holiday decorations, flickering candles, and period furnishings as they take in the beloved holiday tale.

The special experience A Holiday Reception with Mr. Dickens will begin December 8 and continue through the end of A Christmas Carol's run, honoring the 200 year anniversary of the poem A Visit from St. Nicholas. Audiences can attend a special reading of the poem and celebrate with a cup of Smoking Bishop mulled wine or chilled cider. The 19th century family room, kitchen, and garden of the Merchant鈥檚 House Museum will be open to guests during the reception, weather permitting. For those interested, look for the Reception & Performance ticketing option when purchasing tickets for A Christmas Carol.
