While Chalamet turned heads as the brooding cool guy in Lady Bird opposite Saoirse Ronan, his Golden Globe nomination comes for his performance as Elio in Call Me By Your Name, opposite Armie Hammer. Based on the novel of the same name, Luca Guadignano鈥檚 film weaves together a coming-of-age story and a beautiful romance when Elio falls in love with Oliver, a university student who comes to stay with Elio鈥檚 family in Italy for a summer.

On January 7, Chalamet faces off against some of the most compelling actors of our time: Daniel Day-Lewis, Tom Hanks, Gary Oldman, and Denzel Washington. We鈥檒l see if there is a changing of the guard come awards night.

Tune in to the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards January 7 at 8PM ET on NBC.
