Ambrose will be joined in the female-cop pilot by Charlotte Spencer, Cody Horn, , Michael Gaston, Kenneth Mitchell and Alberto Frezza.
Coky Giedroyc will direct a script by Bess Wohl.
"Broad Squad," which is described as a "fictionalized account of the graduating class of Boston鈥檚 first female patrol officers in 1978," spotlights four new female police officers who arrive "at a tumultuous time in the city鈥檚 history and have to navigate rival neighborhoods as well as the conflicting attitudes toward them."
