Lincoln Center Theater has launched a digital lottery to give theatre fans the chance to win the opportunity to buy $40 tickets to the upcoming 40th anniversary Ruby Jubilee Gala at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, set to be held May 19. Those tickets will include access to the evening's performance, which will feature songs from past LCT productions sung by a starry list of Broadway favorites.
That list includes Roger Bart, Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Jason Robert Brown, Victoria Clark, Jordan Donica, Katie Finneran, Stephen Flaherty, Nikki M. James, Marc Kudisch, Nathan Lane, Norm Lewis, Andrea Martin, Kelli O鈥橦ara, Mary Beth Peil, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Tally Sessions, Ted Sperling, Mary Testa, Tracie Thoms, Leslie Uggams, Brandon Uranowitz, and Betsy Wolfe. Jason Danieley is directing the evening, and Adam Rothenberg will music direct.
Lottery entries are being accepted through May 6 at . Winners will be drawn May 7, 8, and 9.
The event will also mark the departure of Artistic Director Andr茅 Bishop, who is set to leave the role at the end of the current season, capping off a 33-year tenure. Lear deBessonet will succeed Bishop, with Bartlett Sher joining in the new role of executive producer.
The performance will be held on the set of Floyd Collins, the Adam Guettel-Tina Landau musical currently making its long-awaited Broadway debut at the Beaumont via Lincoln Center Theater, and Bishop's final production as artistic director. The company's LCT3 is presenting the world premiere of Caitlin Saylor Stephens' Five Models in Ruins, 1981 in the Off-Broadway Claire Tow Theater through June 1.
