London News London's The Play That Goes Wrong to Welcome New Cast in June

The Olivier-winning farce continues at the Duchess Theatre.

The West End production of the Olivier-winning The Play That Goes Wrong will welcome its 11th cast to London鈥檚 Duchess Theatre beginning June 3.

Joining the international hit comedy will be Izzy Edmunds-Clarke as Annie, Jack Hardwick as Chris, Robert Jackson as Robert, Jonty Peach as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott as Sandra, Mitesh Soni as Dennis, Tom Wainwright as Max, and Ronnie Yorke as Trevor.

The understudies are Alex Blackie, Jake Burgum, Kitty Devlin, Louise Hoare, and Ed Shamwana.

The Play That Goes Wrong introduces The Cornley University Drama Society, who attempt to put on a 1920s murder mystery, but everything that can go wrong does, as the accident-prone thespians battle on to get to their final curtain call.

The long-running comedy is co-written by Mischief company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields and is directed by Mark Bell, with set designs by Nigel Hook, costumes by Roberto Surace, lighting by Ric Mountjoy, original music by Rob Falconer, and sound design by Andy Johnson.

The Play That Goes Wrong opened at the Duchess Theatre in September 2014. The Broadway production played 27 previews and 737 regular performances at the Lyceum, winning the 2017 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play. The production subsequently reopened Off-Broadway at New World Stages, where it continues.

The Play That Goes Wrong is produced in the West End by Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence Ltd.
