Open Jar Studios and Stage Door Networks' Broadway Shark Tank has unveiled the shows that will present to a "Shark" panel of industry experts, set to comprise producer Tom Smedes, The Shubert Organization's Michael Coco, and producer Bruce Robert Harris.

The presentation, which will be open to the public, is set for May 6 at 8 PM at Open Jar Studios. A networking event will follow.

Musicals that will be competing include The Chef, with a book by Sam Nasar and Alexander Robertson and music and lyrics by Nasar; The (Disaster) Marathon of 1904, with a book by Tyler Joseph Ellis and music and lyrics by Daniel Mertzlufft and Jacob Ryan Smith; E.M. Forster's A Room With a View, with a book, music, and lyrics by Cody Gerszewski; Here Be Dragons, with a book by Michael Nicosia and music and lyrics by Madison Dennis; Magia with a book, music, and lyrics by Letitia Bullard and Nathan Leit茫o; and The TUNEabomber, with a book, music, and lyrics by John Lampe and Michael Wysong.

Each pitch will be no longer than eight minutes, and must include performances of either one or two songs. After the pitches and commentary from the "Sharks," the audience will vote, with the winner receiving an ICON membership to Open Jar Studios that provides free rehearsal space. The prize is sponsored by Stage Door Foundation, the fundraising arm of Stage Door Network and the soon-to-be-released Stage Door Pass.
