Starring Tony Award winner and , Fool for Love officially opened Oct. 8 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. It will have played a total of 25 previews and 76 regular performances.
Obie Award winner directed the production, which began previews Sept. 15. The production arrived on Broadway after a 2014 engagement at the , which was an associate producer on the Broadway run.
The cast also includes Emmy Award winner (By The Water at MTC, End of the Rainbow) and Tony Award nominee (Fool For Love at Williamstown, Ghetto).
"Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart," according to press notes. "Beaten down by ill-fated love and a ruthless struggle for identity, can they ultimately live with, or without, each other?"
The creative team included (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), (lighting design), Ryan Rumery (sound design) and David S. Leong (movement and fights).
