Opening night for Off-Broadway's new solo play Angry Alan, starring John Krasinski, was June 11, and the stars came out to celebrate. See Laura Linney, Krasinski, and more hit the opening night carpet in the photos below.
The production, the inaugural at Studio Seaview, will continue through August 3, with Tony winner Sam Gold directing. See what the critics had to say here.
The solo play, written by Penelope Skinner and co-created by Don Mackay, premiered at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The story follows Roger, who is divorced, demoted, and drifting. When an online personality promises clarity, Roger dives in without looking back.
The production features scenic design by dots, costume design by Qween Jean, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, video design by Lucy MacKinnon, and properties by Addison Heeren, with Kate Wilson as vocal coach and dramaturgy by Sarah Lunnie.
John C. Moore serves as production stage manager, with production supervision by Hudson Theatrical Associates' Sean Gorski and Seaview's Jonathan Whitton as general managers. Casting is by Taylor Williams.
The production is the first in the venue, formerly Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theater. Production company Seaview announced its takeover of the space earlier this year.
