Broadway Teachers Workshop is launching a new virtual program to arm directors and choreographers with the tools they need to work in schools, community theatres, and independent theatre groups. The Director's Toolkit will feature 12 online interactive workshops that cover everything from conception to design, casting, staging, tech, and marketing. After the live premieres July 7-9, the workshops will be available to watch on-demand for a year, and will include support materials.
The workshops鈥攖o be led by such names as Peter Flynn, Jenn Colella, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger鈥攚ill include Selecting a Show, Developing and Conveying a Concept, Casting, Rehearsal Techniques, Tech Week, Stage Management, Marketing, and Sparking Joy in the Room.
The program is being made in partnership with Music Theatre International, 半岛体育, and Cur8. Participants can earn professional development hours and graduate-level academic credit.
