Broadway Teachers Workshop has announced the lineup of artists for its 25th anniversary conference. The three-day series brings theatre educators together to participate in interactive workshops and seminars, plus attend four Broadway shows and post-show discussions with cast and crew.
The 2025 conference will be held in five sessions between July 11-27 at A.R.T./NY Theatres. Participating educators will receive tickets to Death Becomes Her, Operation Mincemeat, Smash, and Stranger Things: The First Shadow, with each performance to be followed by post-show talkbacks with some of the artists who made the show. The group will also experience a private tour of a Broadway theatre, and attend a series of professional development workshops in various theatrical disciplines.
Workshops will include special intimate conversations with 2025 Tony nominated Death Becomes Her stars Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard, Mean Girls book writer Tina Fey, Death Becomes Her star Christopher Sieber, and Tony-winning producer Jeffrey Seller, with other sessions to cover directing (led by Stranger Things and Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight), choreography, musical theatre (led by Tony winner Beth Leavel), tech, design (led by Newsies' Tobin Ost), teacher self-care (led by Jenn Colella), music (led by Hamilton conductor Ian Weinberger), theatre criticism (led by TimeOut NY theatre critic Adam Feldman), social media and marketing (led by Broadway actor and influencer Andrew Keenan-Bolger), playwriting (led by Clue and The Cottage's Sandy Rustin), and lesson plan sharing, with networking opportunities available throughout. The anniversary season also features a Broadway cocktail party and sing-along, private shopping at the Drama Book Shop, and commemorative tote bags.
Designed to inspire teachers, directors of school theatre, and community theatre directors with
new teaching methods, enhanced production skills, and an exchange of ideas with peers and
professional Broadway artists, the program is produced in conjunction with Music Theatre
International, °ëµºÌåÓý, and Cur8. Participants have the opportunity to earn professional
development hours and graduate level academic credits.
Limited space is still available for the 2025 workshops.
