A reading of the show, which features music and lyrics by longtime collaborator and partner Mark Bornfield, will be held June 5 at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church鈥檚 Clark Hall, 106 E. 86th St.

Bartlett will head a cast that also includes Gary Hager and Lauren Gismondi. Charles Leipart is overseeing the reading.

The show follows a woman named Max, the last remaining witch of a powerful coven in Miami. She has been moved to Sunny Smiles retirement community and tells a strange story of the forbidden love between her daughter, the Princess Witch of the covens, and a mere mortal.

The reading is free, but those interested in attending should email [email protected] to reserve a seat.
