Vineyard Theatre's premiere of Nazareth Hassan's Bowl EP officially opened May 18, and 半岛体育 has the pics to prove it!

The show, which will run through June 8, is both written and directed by Vineyard Artist-In-Residence Hassan. Featuring music by Free Fool, the piece is a co-production with National Black Theatre, and in association with The New Group.

The show transforms the intimate Off-Broadway venue with an in-the-round, 360-degree design. Overseen by scenic designers Adam Rigg and Anton Volovsek, the new layout allows for audiences to enjoy intimate view of the performance鈥攚hich includes live skateboarding and original music鈥攏o matter the seat location.

The story centers on Kelly K Klarkson and Quentavius da Quitter, who need to find a name for their rap group. Through flirty interludes, cringy overshares, and practicing their ollies, they grow increasingly closer as skating collides with every manner of coping mechanism, from smoking and drinking to exorcizing a demon.

Kelly K Klarkson is played by Essence Lotus (soft), with Oghenero Gbajge (Blood Conscious) as Quentavius da Quitter and Felicia Curry (Into the Woods) as Lemon Pepper Wings. Kalonjee Gallimore (A Beautiful Noise) serves as the production understudy.

The creative team includes scenic designers Rigg and Volovsek, costume designer DeShon Elem, lighting designer Kate McGee, sound designer Ryan Gamblin, video and projection designer Zavier Taylor, fight choreographer and intimacy director Teniece Divya Johnson, props supervisor Daniel Brothers, rap consultant Judah Girvan, and skateboarding consultant Faheem Allah.
