Newly released production shots are offering a first look at NSangou Njikam's A Freeky Introduction, currently making its world premiere Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company. The work is playing the company's Atlantic Stage 2 space, where opening night will be June 3. Performances will continue through June 22.
Njikam stars as Freeky Dee, who is there to lead audiences towards freedom with a mix of poetry, ministry, and magic. He's joined by DJ Monday Blue, with Dennis A. Allen II directing.
The production features choreography by Jill M. Vallery, sets by Jason Ardizzone-West, costumes by Iusaset "U-U" Bakr, lighting by Sim Carpenter, sound by G. Clausen, murals by Dister, and props by Rachel M.F. Kenner. Mon茅t Thibou is production stage manager.
