Paula Hawkins鈥� best-selling thriller plays the Duke of York鈥檚 Theatre as part of a U.K. tour. Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, the production, which began performances in the West End July 23, is directed by Anthony Banks.

The play follows Rachel, a middle-aged woman unsatisfied with her job and reeling after a breakup, who finds solace imagining the lives of a couple she sees each day from the window of her train commute. But when the woman she鈥檚 been watching disappears, Rachel wonders if she could be the key to finding her.

Hawkins鈥檚 novel was first adapted for the screen, starring Emily Blunt as Rachel. For the stage, EastEnders star Samantha Womack takes on the role. The cast also includes Alex Ferns, Kirsty Oswald, Philip McGinley, Adam Jackson-Smith, Lowenna Melrose, Marc Elliott, Matt Concannon, and Phillipa Flynn.

The production plays the Duke of York鈥檚 through August 17 before .

The Girl on the Train launched its U.K. national tour in January at the Milton Keynes Theatre.
