The annual benefit concert, where performers take on songs from roles for which they would not traditionally be cast, was held April 7.

Broadway veteran and Tony-winning Hell's Kitchen star Kecia Lewis brought a rendition of "Right Hand Man/One Last Time" from Hamilton to this year's Miscast, MCC Theater's annual benefit concert that sees performers taking on songs from roles for which they wouldn't traditionally be cast in. The performance has hit YouTube, so watch above!

Prior to the performance, Lewis gave a speech in tribute to her former Dreamgirls costar Sheryl Lee Ralph, who was seated in the audience. She shared a backstage anecdote about how Ralph graciously taught her how to do her stage makeup when she was just starting out, and offered other kind words about Ralph, who was an honoree at the starry April 7 evening.

Lewis is currently starring in Hell's Kitchen as Miss Liza Jane—a performance which earned her a 2024 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She has also graced the Broadway stage in Chicago, The Drowsy Chaperone, Once on This Island, and many more.
