Maggie Burrows will direct the Tony-winning musical with choreography by William Carlos Angulo.

Initial casting has been announced for The Muny's summer production of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys.

Directed by Maggie Burrows with choreography by William Carlos Angulo and musical direction by conductor Paul Byssainthe Jr., the international hit will play the Missouri venue August 18-24.

The cast will be led by Ryan Vasquez as Tommy DeVito, Cory Jeacoma as Nick Massi, Pablo David Laucerica as Frankie Valli, Andrew Poston as Bob Gaudio, John Leone as Gyp DeCarlo, and Shea Coffman as Bob Crewe. Additional casting, by The Telsey Office, will be announced at a later date.

This musical explores the journey of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, uncovering the secrets behind their 40-year friendship as they rise from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of superstardom. The production features such chart-topping hits as 鈥淪herry,鈥� 鈥淏ig Girls Don鈥檛 Cry,鈥� 鈥淐an鈥檛 Take My Eyes Off You,鈥� 鈥淒awn,鈥� and 鈥淢y Eyes Adored You,鈥� among others.

Jersey Boys opened in New York in November 2005, ending its 11-year run January 15, 2017, after 4,642 performances at the August Wilson Theatre. The musical won four 2006 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Jersey Boys also began an Off-Broadway run in November 2017 at New World Stages; that production closed May 22, 2022.

The upcoming production will also have scenic design by Krit Robinson, costume design by Leon Dobkowski, lighting design by Rob Denton, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Greg Emetaz and Kylee Loera, and wig design by Kelley Jordan.

The Muny artistic staff includes Artistic Director and Executive Producer Mike Isaacson, Associate Artistic Director Michael Baxter, Director of Production Tracy Utzmyers, and Music Supervisor Michael Horsley.

Season 107 at The Muny opens with Bring It On: The Musical (June 16-22) and also includes Come From Away (June 26-July 2), Disney鈥檚 Frozen (July 6-14), Evita (July 18-24), Dear Evan Hansen (July 28-August 3) and La Cage aux Folles (August 8-14).
