Father Anonymous, a new play by Robert Blecker, will play Off Broadway's AMT Theater June 13-July 2.

The play dramatizes the story of Dr. Joseph Warren, America鈥檚 forgotten founder, and his more famous compatriots, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere. Joshua Koehn directs.

The cast will feature Craig Cartwright as Dr. Joseph Warren, Al Minor as Sam Adams, Elizabeth Officer as Betsy Adams, Koehn as John Hancock, Robert Spiker as Paul Revere, Orson Ansari-Cox as Samuel Adams, Andrew Krautheim as Will Cooper, John Ramaine as Thomas Hutchinson, Linus Gelber as Thomas Marshall, Logan Dean as Col. Prescott, Danielle Hudson as Dolly Hancock, Mandy Greenberg as the Boy, Seth Thompson as John Adams, and Victor Blasingame as Henry Gale.

鈥淭his talented and enthusiastic ensemble has embraced this project as larger in purpose than any of us,鈥 said playwright and constitutional historian Blecker in a statement. 鈥淲ith tears, laughs, and good history, I hope the play will dramatically rescue from obscurity America鈥檚 Forgotten Founder and the principles for which he stood鈥攁nd fell. On the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, it鈥檚 about time to restore to American consciousness, the man who sent Paul Revere on his famous ride, and for two months, commanded America鈥檚 armed struggle until his death at Bunker Hill. You can鈥檛 help but notice profound parallels between 1775 and our world today. You can鈥檛 help but wonder: Is America condemned to learn from history鈥攜et still repeat it?鈥

The upcoming production will also have set and lighting design by John Lichtwalt and costume design by Cynthia Johnson. Isabella Iorio is the stage manager, and Barbara Bosch is the assistant director.

    Michael Smilek is producing.
