The West End engagement of SIX: The Musical will welcome six Japanese queens for a strictly limited run this fall.
The critically acclaimed Japanese cast, who toured a Japanese language version of the show to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya earlier this year, will take the stage at the Vaudeville Theatre for one week only, from November 4-9. They will perform the show in Japanese with English captions.
The cast will include Sonim as Aragon, Meimi Tamura and Maho Minamoto alternating the role of Boleyn, Harumi as Seymour, Eliana and Marie Sugaya alternating the role of Cleves, Airi Suzuki and Erika Toyohara alternating the role of Howard, and Sora Kazuki and Ruki Saito alternating the role of Parr. They will be joined by Aoi Tanaka as their music director. Due to existing scheduling commitments, original Japanese cast members Emiko Suzuki and Mahya Harada will not be appearing.
Said the Umeda Arts Theater Team, who produced the original Japanese production, 鈥淲e are incredibly honored that Japan has been chosen for the very first foreign-language production of SIX: The Musical in London. We cannot wait for London audiences to feel the power of our unstoppable Japan Original Queens鈥攖hrough a 'one of a kind, no category' experience鈥攄elivered entirely in Japanese! Otanoshimini!"
