Brittain Ashford, who created the role of Sonya in Broadway's Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, will play the role of Wife in The William's Project's developmental production of Federico Garc铆a Lorca's Blood Wedding.
Featuring a translation by Langston Hughes, the production will run August 2鈥�4 at Equinox Studios in Georgetown.
Ashford will be joined by Mia Ellis as Bride, Rebecca Gibel as Death and Servant, Leicester Landon as Bridegroom, Tangela Large as Mother, Max Rosenak as Neighbor and Father, David Samuel as Leonardo, and Reggie D. White as Moon and Mother-in-Law.
In the Andalusian tale, a bride's ex-lover pays her a visit on her wedding day, sparking a sequence of events that will shock the whole town.

The thing these eight actors have in common is that they all go for broke. Lorca and Langston Hughes leave you nowhere to hide. And I'm so excited to watch these actors tackle this story.鈥�
