Chris Newcomer, the male soprano who has appeared on Broadway in Kander and Ebb鈥檚 Chicago and The Visit, will perform his latest show June 2 at 7 PM at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
Newcomer appeared in Chicago as Mary Sunshine and played Jacob Chicken, one of Claire Zachanassian鈥檚 eunichs, in Kander and Ebb鈥檚 final Broadway musical The Visit.
The evening, titled Mary Sometimes, promises 鈥渟tories and songs revealing what it鈥檚 like to live between the worlds of male soprano and 鈥榬eal boy.鈥� Along with Kander & Ebb gems both known and unknown, you鈥檒l hear some new music, some standards, and maybe even a little opera.鈥� Donald Harrison serves as musical director.
