8180 Films will present invitation-only industry readings of McAdoo Greer and Rebecca Reynolds' Uncle Vodka June 23 at 5 PM and June 24 at noon in Manhattan.

Karen Carpenter (Love Loss and What I Wore) will direct a cast that includes Tony nominee Craig Bierko (The Music Man), Hannah Cruz (Suffs), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Richard Hollis (Hangmen), Kate MacCluggage (Left on Tenth), Madeleine Martin (Californication), and Kellie Overbey (The Coast of Utopia). Deanna Kahn is the stage manager.

The new play follows three sisters who must decide whether to sell their family cottage or buy out their scheming brother when he invokes the Law of Partition.

“Our jumping-off point for Uncle Vodka was what happens when a family's ‘old moneyâ€ starts to run out,â€ said playwrights Greer and Reynolds in a joint statement. “Having the self-absorbed brother put his three sisters in the position of losing their 100-year-old family cottage or coming up with a boatload of cash reminded us of the crumbling aristocracy of Chekhov's world...only funnier. And to quote Kacey Musgraves' hit song, 'Family is Family': ‘They own too much wicker and drink too much liquor. You'd wash your hands of them, but blood's always thicker.’â€
