Emma Thompson hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time May 11. The British actor cold opened alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in a Mother鈥檚 Day-themed episode for the penultimate show of Season 44.
But the highlight鈥攁t least for theatre aficionados and Disney fans鈥攚as the riff on the recent Beauty and the Beast live-action remake. Thompson starred as Mrs. Potts in the film; here, she sings the title track鈥攂ut with a twist. Watch her alongside SNL cast members Cecily Strong as Belle, Beck Bennett as the Beast, and Melissa Villase帽or, Kyle Mooney, Kenan Thompson, Pete Davidson, and Mikey Day.
Thompson's additional musical credits include Sweeney Todd with the New York Philharmonic and English National Opera and Me and My Girl on Broadway and in the West End.
