KAFKA'S METAMORPHOSIS: THE MUSICAL!
Renowned 20th century author Franz Kafka must burn all of his writing to pass through the gates of purgatory. Juggling a meta-theatrical ensemble and feelings of deep-seated shame, Franz has to learn to maneuver in a world that is not built to understand him.
SEEKING:
[FRANZ KAFKA] Tenor, Mid 20s-30s, Jewish. Absurdist comedian. Deeply anxious, dry, daddy issues.
[FATHER/FIREMAN] Baritone, an actor playing Franz Kafka's domineering father who did not do any research before taking the role. Just happy to have a job.
[MOTHER/FIREMAN] Alto, an experienced, gracious actor who did extensive research before taking the role. She hates her coworkers and the play.
[GRETE/FIREMAN] Soprano, Early 20s. A comedian with a high belt who is extremely committed to the role.
[GREGOR/FIREMAN] Tenor, Early 20s. A singer/dancer who majored in stretching. More hands than brain cells. He has two hands.
