Though Nash has performed at 54 Below on numerous occasions, the concert marks his first time performing solo. Backed by a full band and string quartet, he performs the album in entirety. "Forever/After" features arrangements of songs by , Ben Folds, , Jason Mraz, and Patty Griffin, among others. Nash, a Bistro Award winner and regular fixture on the Off-Broadway scene, has made his name as a musical director and orchestrator. He has worked with Broadway stars , , , and 鈥� . With Johnson, he created Co-Dependent Mondays, a weekly show at Therapy that has been running since 2011, and is also the resident musical director at the long-running Mostly Sondheim at The Duplex. His concert work has featured performances with , , Mandy Gonzales, , Andy Bell, Amy Poehler, , , Molly Pope, and Courtney Act, among many others.
