Margot Robbie, who was Oscar-nominated for her performance in I, Tonya, will produce the period musical Big Gay Jamboree with her LuckyChap Entertainment production company, according to .
Marla Mindelle (Broadway's Cinderella and Sister Act) and Jonathan Parks-Ramage will pen the script for the film. Described as a cross between The Book of Mormon and Oklahom!, it will center on a young woman who wakes up in a strange town to realize she is living in a 1940s musical.
The film will be directed by Alethea Jones (Fun Moms Dinner). Robbie's producing partners include LuckyChap鈥檚 Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerly; 3 Arts鈥� Ari Lubet, Greg Walter, and Dave Becky will also produce. Paramount's Vanessa Joyce will oversee the project.
