Bus Stop is Pulitzer winner Inge's classic play set at a Kansas diner. The story brings together an unlikely group of characters, including the waitstaff, a cowboy, a sheriff and a pretentious professor, when they are stranded during the night because of a snowstorm. "An undertow of sex, lies, and a touch of perversity are served to this motley crew," says BRT's press notes, "as they spend a night together filled with love, laughter, and heartache."
The Tony-nominated play premiered on Broadway in 1955, when it ran for almost a year. Stage legend Elaine Stritch received a Tony nomination for her portrayal of Grace in the production.
The creative team features set designer Nels Anderson, costume designer Linda Bee Stockton, lighting designer Deborah Constantine and sound designer Amy Altadonna.
