Photos Photos: Antonio Banderas Directs Gypsy in Spain

Photos from a recent press preview reveal a seemingly Fosse-inspired take on the Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim, and Arthur Laurents musical.

Company of Gypsy in Spain Marina M. Luna

Antonio Banderas is bringing another musical to Spain, following his theatre company Teatro del Soho CaixaBank's earlier productions of A Chorus LineCompany, and Godspell.

This time, the stage and screen star is directing a new staging of Arthur Laurents, Stephen Sondheim, and Jule Styne's Gypsy, which begins performances October 17 at the Malaga theatre. Newly released photos from a recent press event offer a good look at the unique revival, which seems to have taken some style cues from Bob Fosse and Chicago. See more shots from the event in the gallery below.

Performances run through December 1.
