The performance is Fatone's third on the Main Stem, following earlier runs in Rent and Little Shop of Horrors. The jukebox musical & Juliet draws from the song catalogue of frequent pop songwriter, and frequent NSYNC collaborator, Max Martin for its score. Though the show has characters singing NSYNC songs, Lance (Fatone) is not one of them鈥攈is big numbers in the show are songs made famous by the Backstreet Boys, who were considered NSYNC's rivals in the '90s. It seems Fatone is aware of the comedy potential of that.

鈥淚鈥檓 excited that I鈥檒l be joining the cast of & Juliet!鈥 said Fatone in an earlier statement. 鈥淚 can鈥檛 wait to get out there and sing Max Martin鈥檚 amazing songs鈥攈is hits have shaped so much of pop music. And yes, I know I鈥檒l even be singing a couple of Backstreet Boys songs. Even though my loyalty remains with NSYNC, they still have bangers. See you at the show!"

The current Broadway company of & Juliet includes Maya Boyd as Juliet, Alison Luff as Anne, Drew Gehling as Shakespeare, Liam Pearce as Romeo, Michael Iv谩n Carrier as May, Jeannette Bayardelle as Ang茅lique, and Nathan Levy as Fran莽ois.

Featuring a book by David West Read, the score includes a mix of tunes by Max Martin and more, including 鈥淪ince U Been Gone,鈥 鈥淩oar,鈥 鈥淚 Want It That Way,鈥 and 鈥淐onfident.鈥
