Joshua Harmon's We Had a World officially opened at New York City Center Stage II via Manhattan Theatre Club March 19, and the reviews are in. See what critics are saying about the new play, running through April 27 in an extended run, below.

The cast includes Tony winner Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods) as Renee, Andrew Barth Feldman (Dear Evan Hansen) as Joshua, and Jeanine Serralles as Ellen. Understudies Sam Primack, Courtney Balan, and Glynis Bell round out the company. Casting is by Kelly Gillespie.

The new work follows a dying woman who calls upon her grandson to write a "bitter and vitriolic" (according to press notes) play about their family, ultimately invoking past family fights, cruelty, and love. Tripp Cullman is directing.
