Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice鈥檚 rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar is presented in concert, starring two female Broadway performers in the leading roles usually played by men, January 16 at the Highline Ballroom.
Morgan James (Motown, Godspell, The Addams Family) stars as Jesus with Shoshana Bean (Hairspray, Wicked) as Judas at the 8 PM concert event.
The female-centered concert is directed by Richard Amelius with music direction by Julie McBride. The cast of 13 singers performs the complete score, accompanied by a six-piece band.
