London's National opened a new revival of Michael Abbensetts' Alterations February 27 in the Lyttleton Theatre, and the reviews are in! See what critics are saying below.
Directed by Lynette Linton, the comedy is set to continue through April 5.
The cast features Arinz茅 Kene (Get Up, Stand Up: The Bob Marley Story) as Walker Holt, Cherrelle Skeete (Hanna) as Darlene Holt, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr as Buster, Karl Collins (Nine Night) as Horace, Raphel Famotibe (Wonder Boy) as Courtney, and Colin Mace (War Horse) as Mr. Nat with ensemble members and understudies Tyler Fayose (Phoenix Rise), Richard Emerson Gould (TheVaudevillians), Joshua John (Romeo & Juliet), Samuel Nunes de Souza (The Prince and the Pauper), and Yolanda Ovide (Slave: A Question of Freedom).
Alterations illuminates the Guyanese experience of 1970s London, with additional material by Trish Cooke. The 1978 play follows Walker Holt, who has big dreams for his tailor鈥檚 shop and an even bigger order to complete. Over the course of 24 hours, he must work tirelessly to satisfy his new client鈥檚 impossible tailoring needs.
