The limited engagement is set to run through May 29 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, with an official opening night scheduled for March 13. The show features music direction by with choreography by .
The musical, which debuted on Broadway in 1975 with (as Jamie) and (as Rosamund), is described by Roundabout as "a raucous, hilarious, sexy theatrical gem with an irresistibly catchy bluegrass score." Stand-out songs from the score include "Sleepy Man" and "Nothin' Up."
The work is based on the 1942 novella.
