Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren will play cat and mouse with each this fall in The Good Liar, opening in theatres November 15.
McKellen plays con artist Roy who meets Betty (played by Mirren) on an online dating site. After learning she鈥檚 worth 拢3 million, Roy schemes to take her money as she starts to fall in love with him.
Russell Tovey plays Betty鈥檚 grandson, Steven, who appears suspicious of Roy鈥檚 true intentions in the trailer above.
Based on Nicholas Searle's novel, The Good Liar is directed by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, Dreamgirls) and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher. Downton Abbey鈥檚 Jim Carter, Mark Lewis Jones, and Celine Buckens round out the cast.
