Rolling Thunder, originally developed and produced in Australia, will make its U.S. premiere this summer at Off-Broadway鈥檚 New World Stages.
Produced by Blake Entertainment's Rebecca Blake, performances will begin July 10 prior to an official opening July 24.
The rock journey, which features a book by journalist-writer Bryce Hallett, will be directed by Kenneth Ferrone (The Wanderer, Prelude to a Kiss). Casting and additional creative team members will be announced at a later date.
Part rock concert, part documentary, the show tells the heartfelt stories of young soldiers caught in the Vietnam War and the galvanizing protest movement that sought to end it.
Rolling Thunder showcases more than 20 rock classics of the era, including "A Hard Rain鈥檚 A-Gonna Fall," 鈥淎ll Along the Watchtower,鈥� 鈥淏orn to be Wild,鈥� 鈥淧eople Get Ready,鈥� 鈥淭he Letter,鈥� 鈥淏lack Magic Woman,鈥� 鈥淕imme Shelter,鈥� 鈥淗elp Me Make it Through the Night,鈥� 鈥淓ve of Destruction,鈥� 鈥淜illing Me Softly with His Song,鈥� 鈥淲e鈥檝e Gotta Get Out of This Place,鈥� and 鈥淏ridge Over Troubled Water.鈥�
