Philadelphia鈥檚 Azuka Theatre has announced that its entire season of productions will be offered on a pay-what-you-decide basis. Patrons will reserve their tickets in advance, attend the performance, and then decide what price they鈥檙e willing to pay.
鈥淭his is the biggest risk Azuka has undertaken in our 17 years - your support will ensure its success!鈥� reads an online statement from the theatre. There will be no minimum ticket price imposed.
鈥淒ifferent from Pay What You Can models, PWYD is based entirely on the theatregoers experience where鈥攊nstead of deciding what to pay before attending the show or paying a fixed ticket price鈥攑atrons are able to attend the show, decide the value of their experience, and pay as they leave the theatre,鈥� the statement continues.
