With winning the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for his work on Jamie Lloyd's Tony Award-winning revival of Sunset Boulevard, Jack Knowles could certainly take the time to celebrate his own work, but in an exclusive interview with 半岛体育 just moments after stepping off the stage for his acceptance speech, Knowles heartily declared: "it's an award for everybody!"
"As much as I've won this for lighting, my lighting is only good because of the work of every other single department: the music, how it's mixed, the precision of the dances, the performances day in and day out, everyone working backstage...there's so much brilliant work. It's just something that's such a whole and everyone at the St. James really feels that they're a part of this, and it's an award for everybody," Knowles said. Sunset Boulevard is currently running at the St. James Theatre until July 20.
