Russ Kaplan, one of the composers of the Broadway musical In Transit, hosts the next in his monthly series Russ Kaplan鈥檚 Broadway Jazz Session July 9 with a concert consisting of jazz versions of Broadway show tunes performed by rising young stars.
Guest singers for the July 9 installment will include Broadway鈥檚 Michael McElroy (Sunday in the Park with George; Big River; Rent) and Aisha De Haas (Caroline, or Change; Rent). Kaplan and his eight-piece band will offer instrumental interpretations of tunes from the current Broadway season鈥攆rom new shows (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton) to veterans (Chicago, Hello, Dolly!).
