Industry News Tams-Witmark Secures Global Rights to An American in Paris The musical library acquires licensing rights for the Gershwin musical.

Tams-Witmark Music Library has secured the global amateur and professional licensing rights to An American In Paris, the Gershwin musical first made famous on film by Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron before coming to Broadway in 2015.

Directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, the musical earned 12 Tony nominations and won four, including Best Choreography for Wheeldon. Set in Paris just after World War II, it follows a young American soldier and a captivating French dancer falling in love in the City of Light.
