The world premiere of John Patrick Shanley's Prodigal Son officially opened Feb. 9 at Manhattan Theatre Club Off-Broadway. "Interstellar" actor Timoth茅e Chalamet stars as the brilliant but volatile 15-year-old Jim Quinn, a teenager from the Bronx who is offered a scholarship at a private school in New Hampshire.

Chalamet is featured alongside Tony winner (, ), Annika Boras (Chair, An Oresteia), (Defiance, ) and David Potters.聽Previews began Jan. 19.

Written and directed by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Shanley, the play portrays a young man who is gifted, violent and, like many teenagers, incredibly angst-ridden. His teachers are torn between supporting or disciplining him.聽
