Written and directed by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Shanley, the play is billed as an "explosive portrait of a young man on the verge of salvation or destruction." The story follows a teenage boy from the Bronx, played by Chalamet, who is suddenly thrown into the world of a private school in New Hampshire. Violent, gifted, lonely and alienated, he prompts his teacher, played by Leonard, to struggle with the question of whether he is a genius or a train wreck.
