Job Summary:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse located in Secaucus, NJ. You will manage a team of full-time and part-time staff and freelancers who handle all warehouse functions, including order picking and pulling, returns, equipment quality control, and custom projects. This role is approximately 60% planning, coordination, and oversight, and 40% hands-on work with the warehouse team. Candidates who are driven to execute at a high level in a fast-paced environment will excel in this position.
Expected Qualifications:
路 4鈥�6+ years successfully managing a team of 2鈥�6 people
路 Minimum 2 years of experience in an events/production warehouse鈥攍ighting equipment focus strongly preferred.
路 2+ years of experience managing and working with cloud-based inventory management software
路 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
路 Proficient in computer-based communications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
路 Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
路 Unflappable, adaptable, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
路 High school diploma required

路 Experience handling sales for dry rental orders
路 Experience hiring and training new employees, including conducting interviews
Job Responsibilities:
路 Manage warehouse team members on a daily basis to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate operations
路 Plan, oversee, and assist in executing all orders: picking, packing, delivery, return, QC, and storage of equipment
路 Develop and maintain, with the assistance of full-time and part-time staff, a warehouse organizational system that keeps personnel and equipment safe and easily accessible
路 Oversee and execute operational plans for all vehicles, including daily logistics planning, labor planning, labor training, and vehicle tracking.
路 Operate vehicles up to 26鈥� (non-CDL) as needed in and around the Tri-State area, including Manhattan.
路 Develop and manage a maintenance program for all rental equipment, vehicles, and tools; provide reporting to supervisors on equipment usage, damage, and lifecycle needs
路 Oversee, track, and manage all repairs, including managing repair staff, RMAs, and vendor repairs
路 Determine staffing levels seasonally based on order volume and operational needs; report staffing levels to supervisors
路 Oversee and ensure accurate and timely receiving of new equipment and entry into inventory system
路 Maintain security of all RRD equipment while in the warehouse; ensure controlled building access
路 Manage relationships with vendors including maintenance, subrentals, and logistics; uphold RRD鈥檚 values in all vendor interactions
路 Collaborate with the production team to ensure subrental needs are identified and managed in a timely manner.
路 Proactively identify and communicate equipment shortages to the production team
路 Provide direct supervision of all warehouse employees, including a full-time shop foreman; conduct ongoing training, management, and regular check-ins
路 Collaborate with the Equipment Logistics Lead to manage shipping, logistics, and freight operations, including LTL, full truckload, and parcel shipments
路 Implement and oversee a warehouse safety program, including site-specific hazard analysis, safety training, and compliance with NJ state law
路 Maintain safe, hazard-free work areas; ensure safety devices (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, sprinkler systems, etc.) are maintained and regularly inspected
路 Maintain and stock consumables for warehouse and production use
路 Track and report warehouse metrics and develop new metrics to support continuous improvement
路 Perform basic construction/handyman tasks as needed to maintain the building
路 Other duties as assigned
This is a full-time exempt salaried position with a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This is paid on a bi-weekly basis and includes health insurance, employer-matched 401k, and other benefits.
