The 43rd annual Toronto International Film Festival will play host to screenings of the highly anticipated remake of A Star Is Born, as well as films featuring a host of stage favorites, including Cynthia Erivo, Viola Davis, Denise Gough, Timoth茅e Chalamet, Hugh Jackman, and Armie Hammer. The festival runs September 6鈥�16.
In addition to films set to play the festival include (with a cast including Erivo, Davis, and Carrie Coon), Beautiful Boy (with Chalamet), Colette (featuring recent Angels in America star Gough) and Hotel Mumbai (with Hammer, currently in Straight White Men).
Bradley Cooper makes his directorial debut with A Star Is Born, which co-stars Lady Gaga as a struggling artist who falls in love with a seasoned musician. The cast also includes alum Anthony Ramos, Andrew Dice Clay, and Sam Elliott. The film arrives in theaters on October 5.
Widows is based on a 1980s British series and follows four women who set out to complete the heist that their husbands died attempting. The cast also includes 2018 Tony nominee Brian Tyree Henry and Andr茅 Holland.
