Amazon has acquired the rights to Brittany Runs a Marathon, featuring Tony nominees Beth Malone (Angels in America, Fun Home) and Micah Stock (The Front Page, It鈥檚 Only a Play). Playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo (Really Really) directs the film, about hard-partying millennial who attempts to transform her life with a major run.
Amazon picked up the film shortly after its premiere at Sundance Film Festival.
The film also includes Alice Lee (Spring Awakening, Heathers) and Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street, Rough Night).. Amazon is expected to release Brittany Runs a Marathon this summer.
