London News Ghost Stories Readies Return to Terrify London's West End

Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman鈥檚 play "contains moments of extreme shock and tension."

Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman鈥檚 supernatural Ghost Stories will return to the West End in the fall.

The Olivier Award-nominated show will play a six-week engagement at the Peacock Theatre September 30鈥揘ovember 8 with a gala performance October 8. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Ghost Stories follows Professor Goodman, an arch-skeptic out to debunk the paranormal. He embarks on an investigation of three apparent hauntings鈥攁s recounted by a night watchman, a teenage boy, and a businessman awaiting his first child鈥攁nd finds himself at the outer limits of rationality.

In a joint statement Dyson and Nyman said, "We are delighted that Ghost Stories will be returning to scare the hell out of West End audiences after its first-ever U.K. tour. It's an extraordinary thing for us that after 15 years Ghost Stories is still going strong. It鈥檚 so exciting to be able to share the screams, the laughs, the scares, and the leap-out-of-your seat sensory-experience of the 90-minute thrill ride that Ghost Stories 颈蝉.鈥�

Ghost Stories is written by Dyson and Nyman and directed by Dyson, Nyman, and Sean Holmes. The creative team also includes set and costume designer Jon Bausor, lighting designer James Farncombe, sound designer Nick Manning, special effects designer Scott Penrose, casting director Ginny Schiller, associate director Andy Room, movement director Lloyd McDonagh, costume supervisor Rebecca Gunstone, and props supervisor Will Edwards.

Producers warn the play "contains moments of extreme shock and tension" and is unsuitable for those under the age of 15.

Ghost Stories was last seen in the West End in 2019 at the Ambassadors鈥檚 Theatre after a run at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. The production is currently touring the U.K.
